Who knows. They lost Tribes, PlayGreenhouse and Villagers & Heroes within the span of 5 days. Something is going down, whether good or bad. They apparently now have a 'plan' for Legions, and are putting more focus on it now.

Not surprised, since it's all they have now...

You know, I think they would make more money if they got IA up and running again, seeing as it's their primary source of income :P

Honestly don't know how they could make money off the Arcade. They were losing money because of it, hence why they took it down. And Crash stated they were thinking about making it all F2P.

Their primary source of players, yes.

so, you think they should make something they are losing money on free, and that would solve everything?

No, i never suggested that. I stated what Crash, their community manager said a while ago. I agree it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, unless they've got some huge source of cash no one knows about. I doubt Instant Jam is making a crapload of money for them, but apparently they got millions to do it so who knows.

Oh. I didn't realize you were quoting. My eye balls must have skipped over the first half of the sentence.

Literally. All they have.
Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

To be honest, I'm kinda hoping Legions gets sent off to another developer as well, since they might actually get the damn servers up and running again >.>

Actually, it sounds like the community has it now. They(they being BugsPray, Greaper, Mabel, ect) were given the game a few months ago(May'sh) and were working on a stand-alone version. They were planning making a brief announcement on Thursday as a teaser of sorts, then a full-on announcement Monday. Then shit went down and those who had Legions were wondering whether they could keep going forward with the game. Looks like it might just happen.

Reminds me of John Romero and Daikatana.

"O HAY GUIZ WER MAKIN NEW GAMES THEYL KICK UR ASSES AND BE AWSUM IN GNRL!"
...Followed by company failure.

Sadly, I actually thought GG/IA had some potential as a company before they started mismanaging their errors. I hope that the TGE/TGEA go open source, now, though. Could lead to a huge boost in free gaming.
