Nothing's been said in the private forums for two months, plus.

Correction. Plasmatic made a post today! :) I just wish there were more people active during the initial process. It's unfortunate so many people wanted to be involved, but they chose to invite people that, judging by the lack of input, no longer had any interest in the game.

Oh well, 1.40's still damn nice. Should make current players, server-operators, and especially modders really love happy.

Yeah, I heard about attachable function entry and exit methods. Pretty badass.

Wait a minute, weren't you the guy who was vaness about incompatibility with windows 7 and saying that 1.4 was a waste of time?! Are you bi-polar or something?

It is a waste of time. Tribes is dead. That doesn't mean it won't appeal to those who still play, the server operators who are still active, and probably most importantly active modders and scripters ( which is who will see the most changes ).

The Instant-Action component was incompatible with Win7. Whether or not it's been fixed since then, I have no idea. Tribes 1.40 doesn't require it, so it's not much of an issue, but it did piss me off when the IA talking head had to respond to my bug report like a love dick.

die /daɪ/
–verb (used without object), died, dying.
-to cease to live; undergo the complete and permanent cessation of all vital functions; become dead.
-to lose force, strength, or active qualities: Superstitions die slowly.
-to pass gradually; fade or subside gradually (usually fol. by away, out, or down): The storm slowly died down

I wouldn't say that... I think it crashes more often. It looks better though. Hudbot has always bugged out on me before, either turning half the screen white or showing 3rd person team indicators AND 1st person ones at the same time... Making it really difficult to figure out who is and who isn't on my team.

1.40 has the beauty of hudbot, but doesn't love up graphically... It just crashes occasionally. Which I can live with.

When does it crash for you Perrinoia? I get them only when refreshing the server list.

I'll occasionally crash when a game ends and new one is about to start (while looking at the end-game stats). But it usually crashes when refreshing the server list, like you said.
