Site Updates

Post by Sevnn » Tue Jan 03, 2006 1:30 am

I finally gave up on the CSS/DIV layout for the forums and went with something more traditional. There are too many inconsistencies and problems with CSS/DIV style rendering between IE and Firefox. Standards compliance means nothing when different browsers render "standard" styles differently.

I don't want to repeat this so please read here:

I AM NOT DONE WITH THIS TEMPLATE

I do plan on putting an image in the header and making small tweaks to get the forums and website to run more smoothly. I am aware downloads, links, tutorials, and faq pages have no content. I will be handling the content for these pages from the forums to make it easier to maintain. These pages will take a few days to get up and running.

Yay for svenn.
Because the CSS was fixed for MSIE and the fix caused FF to render it bad.
(MSIE needs invalid css to render the css sheet right :| )

Well, that was a much better reception...

I like it quite a bit more as well. This is the first fixed width forum I've spent any time on (never have time for clanorb.com). With the image resizer mod, it seems to work pretty well.

wow, this looks freakin awesome! Spectacular! I really enjoy the more friendly flow and color scheme. The nav is simple, and easy to use, good use of white space. Also, the css/xhtml makes my heart happy.

Again, awesome Sevnn (and company?).

What script you use for the site-->not forum, a phpBB modded version?
I am working on a CMS for Phorum. When its done you might want to check it out, it will save you a lot of work in the future: http://www.clansunited.net/phorum/read. ... 9901#19901

Meh, i dont really like the site, It does have a lot of bugs, Like if you have a message and you view the message before you view the forums, it basicly tells the forum you read every post, but you really didnt. I have a bad way of explaing things.
